Fes to Volubilis / Moulay Idriss / Meknes Excursions :
This day trip begins by crossing a fertile agricultural region: culture of cereals, pulses, oil production ... Arrival at Zagota Pass, and the road enters the forest of eucalyptus plantations of olive, fig. We soon discovered a vast plain where the ruins of Volubilis. After spending an hour to admire the ruins of this Roman city of the first century AD, the trip continues towards the holy city of Moulay Idriss. To see the panorama and the minaret round and white, decorated with Koranic verses green mosaic.
Upon arrival in Meknes, one has a magnificent view of the Medina. The tour begins with a tour of the walls with monumental gates dating from the seventeenth century Berdaïne Bab, Bab Khemis. We continue exploring the city by the stables (Rua), attics (HERI), and Stud. Stop needed at the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail was for a long time the only mosque that non-Muslims could visit in Morocco. It then exits through the famous Bab Mansour El on the vast square Hedim. On the other side of the square, the Museum of Moroccan Art "Dar Jamai" offers a wide variety of handicrafts. One can stroll through the Medina before returning to Fes.
Fes excursions to Middle Atlas :
To reach Ifrane, cross the small town of Immouzer Kandar busy summer for its more temperate climate than that of Fes. Then we made a detour to the amazing Lake Daiet Aoua: you can admire the surrounding hills is reflected in its waters, or riders who take it for a playground.
Arrived in Ifrane, one is surprised by the unusual appearance of this city. With its sloping roofs, chimneys capped with huge stork nests, its abundant flower beds, its chestnut trees the city looks like a small corner of Europe. The road continues to the ski resorts and Jebel Michlifen Habre. Then down to Azrou, we made a stop at the foot of Cedar Goureau. Here you can see sometimes some of the maggots that live in this forest. Finally, after admiring the green roofs of the central square of Azrou, the rock (in Berber Azrou) the work of craftsmen, it's back to Fes.
This walk can take half a day or slightly more depending on time spent admiring the variety of landscapes: forests of oaks, cedars, cultivated fields among the stones, and Orchards...
Fes excursions to Sefrou/ Bhalil:
Berber town situated about thirty miles from Fes, Sefrou is known from the twelfth century. Then a meeting point between the North and the South Valley Tafilalet. Sefrou is appreciated for its waterfalls, its diverse landscapes that can be admired from the shrine of Sidi Ali Bousserghine. Sefrou is now an important agricultural center which shows the richness of its products during the cherry festival in June.

Fes excursions to Chefchaouen:
High up in the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen is a beautiful blue door and white-walled medina that was originally a Berber post. Only visited by 3 Westerners up until 1920 when Spanish troops invaded, Chefchaouen was once considered a city that was impossible to be visited by a Christian.
Chefchaouen is one of the most spectacular places the JBT frequents. This laid-back mountain town has gotten even more chill than before. Here, the Spanish culture is prevalent and if you speak a little Spanish, then you will get by easily. We offer day hiking around the town, and also offer extended trips that will take you through some of the Rif Mountains more rustic environs.
Fes to Marrakech Desert Excursions (3 days, 4 days or 5 days):
You need at least 3 full days for a Fes to Marrakech desert tour that includes one night in the dunes camel trekking to a desert camp or in a hotel at the dune line. Suggested itinerary for a 4 day Fes to Marrakech desert tour:
Day 1: Fes to Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi Dunes. Meet your driver at your Riad and transfer across the Middle Atlas to Merzouga via Azrou, the cedar forests and the Ziz valley gorge. It is an interesting route with a stop for lunch around Midelt. Arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes and check into a hotel at the dune from where you can safely wander in the immediate desert to watch the sunset.
Day 2: Desert exploration and camel trekking in Erg Chebbi. Explore the desert region with your driver e.g. fossil beds, seasonal lakes, Gnawa musicians, Merzouga and perhaps Rissani on souk day. In the late afternoon camel trek across the dunes to sleep under the stars in a nomad-tented camp or, if camel trekking is not for you, enjoy a sunset camel ride with another night in your hotel at the dune line.
Day 3: Merzouga to Ouarzazate via Todra Gorge and Rose Valley. Transfer to Ouarzazate via Todra Gorge, Kelaa Mgouna (valley of the roses), the valley of one thousand kasbahs and Skoura palmerie.
Day 4: Ouarzazate to Marrakech via Ait Benhaddou and Telouet. Visit Ait Benhaddou, a World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most spectacular Ksours (fortified villages) that lay along the route of the lucrative camel caravans as they made their way across the mountains. Continue to Marrakech via the High Atlas village of Telouet and visit the Kasbah of el Glaoui. Lunch in Telouet and cross the Tizi-n-Tichka Atlas mountain pass with hair-pin bends and far-reaching views.
Fes excursions to desert:
After an early breakfast you will begin your ascent we pass through Ifrane, a winter ski resort in a totally un Moroccan style built by the French in the 1930's to resemble a Swiss village; drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descend towards the Sahara Desert. Half way, you will stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks. Arrive in the desert where your guide and camels will be waiting to carry you across the sandy dunes of the Moroccan Sahara. Camel trek as the sun set across a desert landscape, for approximately 2 hrs to reach your desert camp and home for the night: a traditional nomad tent. At your desert shelter, your camels are hobbled and mint tea is served. A simple meal of tagine is freshly prepared for you by your guide.
When you came by camel next morning you will take shower and relax before we take the 4*4 for a tour of approximately 3 hours and 1/2 in the desert to see the different faces of desert dunes with its black volcanic rocks, passing through small villages, where we will stop to lunch with a Berber family in their tent, along the road used by the Paris Dakar rallye We will reach a cave where you can discover how the local people extract the fossils from the heart of the earth. In the afternoon we will return to our Merzouga hotel to relax, dine and listen to local music. For those who wish, we can take a night walk through the dunes to listen to the silence and watch the stars.
Day3; after the breakfast we take the road back to Fes we stop to visit Rissani the place from which Arab dynasties first came to Morocco. Old capital by the ancient Alaouite Sultans in the road we see men wearing the indigo blue robes distinctive of the Saharan people. We will see:
